I am grateful for:
1. Living in such a beautiful suburb
2. My son
3. Our wonderful Prius
4. Clyde Bruckman (my fish)
5. Being surrounded this holiday season by so many loving friends
6. Broomball. Second game is tonight! And the weather cooperated for us, too.
7. It is above zero. I know, I already mentioned the weather, but it deserves it's own post! Above zero!
8. Dayquil.
9. My new lap top, which I really rely on to get work done and to stay connected
10. Our beautiful dinner last night with our dear friends. I am so grateful that they had us over and went out of their way to treat us to a special night!

Gratitude on December 16
Today, I am grateful for:
1. Law of attraction networks, because they send me uplifting and inspirational stories right to my inbox every single day. I don't always read them, and some days I read more than one. I find they are very helpful to get your mind on the right track.
2. happify.com is another website I am thankful for, because every 2 weeks they have me do a check-in and see how my mood has changed. My mood has been pretty steady for a while, and that's a good thing, although I would love to be happier.
3. SGI, because through them I have met other buddhists that are like-minded and have similar goals and attitudes. I cherish the relationships I have already made, even though they have not been long-term (yet!). It is nice to feel part of a community because it makes you feel a hope for the future.
4. Living in the area we live in. We have only been there a short time but every day I am grateful because it is so beautiful, and can just lift up your heart by driving down the street and seeing all of the beauty. I love to live in a beautiful neighborhood.
5. All of the sacrifices that M has made for my happiness, and my son's happiness too. I am very grateful because I know that things have not worked out the way we planned them, exactly. M keeps plugging along and even though I know he is suffering much of the time, he doesn't complain about it. Well, he doesn't complain too much.
6. my new office. I recently switched offices, and I am grateful for my new office because they are much closer and offer many amenities that my old office did not offer.
7. my old office, because they got me started, and I met so many wonderful people through them!
8. our beautiful car Celia, who just keeps trudging through the daily snow like a trooper!
9. my beautiful and amazing son, who is not afraid to change and continues to develop as a person. I am so proud of him every single day, because he teaches me something new every single day.
10. being on the board of directors of an organization, because it keeps me going and gives me a sense of purpose, and I feel like I am making a difference in the community.

Gratitude on 25 November
1. Today, I am grateful that our apartment is so warm, because I know that it is very cold outside.
2. I am grateful for and appreciate all of my friends, because they truly care about me and enjoy spending time with me no matter what is going on in my life. They are there through the good and the bad.
3. I am grateful for our Prius, because it is such an amazing car, and it is my dream car. I still feel giddy whenever I walk up to her!
4. I am grateful for buddhism, and specifically finding a buddhist group near where we live. It is so nice to meet and socialize with other like minded people. I have met so many wonderful people.
5. Every time I go anywhere, I am grateful for living in such a beautiful place. We are always surrounded by beautiful nature scenes, and it is so inspiring. I love living here.
6. I am grateful for the recipe I learned that helps to soothe a sore throat: 2 T lemon juice, 2 T vinegar, 2 T honey, and then add hot water. It is yummy and it helps your throat feel better right away!
7. I am grateful for time. Time really does heal all wounds, although I haven't always believed that. I have lived through some very difficult events, and here I am on the other side.
8. I am grateful for cheese. I just really love cheese. I'm glad someone invented that.
9. I am grateful for M suggesting that we have a turkey-free Thanksgiving this year. I find that I am actually looking forward to the holiday, and am not feeling stressed about it as I usually would.
10. I am grateful for my niece, who I have learned to advocate for, and she has taught me so much about what children want and what children need. She is a constant joy to me!

Initial Post
Welcome to my blog, Gratitude. I will put a list of 10 things every day that I am grateful for. I hope you enjoy it, and I hope that you are encouraged to do the same. Feel free to add your own list in the comments!
The reason I am doing this is because I believe that gratitude is important and that we are often encouraged to overlook it! I think gratitude should be emphasized. What we focus on expands in our life.
